Happy 1st Birthday Fiona!! (March 20, 2006) No, I haven't gone crazy since my husband has been on deployment. I simply would have gotten Fiona a special toy or treat at Petsmart for her birthday, but we've discovered a jewel of a place here in Jacksonville for your pets! It's called Petibles Pet Bakery (www.petiblespetbakery.com) and if you are a dog or cat lover, you will love this place. They will ship anywhere, so be sure to check out their website. They make everything with all natural ingredients and use much of the stuff that we eat, like bananas, to make their treats and cakes. In fact, they will tell you that everything is people-friendly in their store, so, if you are brave, you can eat what you buy for your pet. So, needless to say, we ordered Fiona her very own special birthday cake with her name on it and everything. You can see some of the other treats we got her in the following picture. All the treats they make are so cute, my favorite is the cupcake! Everything even smells wonderful....no stinky bones here!! Petibles even provides the birthday hats, birthday doggie bandana, bone shaped candle and the paw-print balloons to make your party extra special. If nothing else, we had a fun time doing it, it made for a great night of laughs and pictures. A night we will never, ever forget!!
Puppy treats: cupcakes, bagels, oreos, paw-print cookies, and kiss drops, although don't worry, nothing is made with real chocolate, since we all know dogs can't or shouldn't have chocolate.

Rollin' Over Now...

March 10th: I put Jackson on his playmat, on his back of course, so I could go and brush my teeth before we left the house and suddenly I heard a "Ugghhh" come over the baby monitors. I went in his nursery to check on him and this is the position he was in, he taught himself to rollover, but isn't quite sure what to do after that. He just kept making the "ugghh" noise as if to say, "help, I'm not sure what to do next!"
Once I helped him adjust his arms and he got situated I asked him, "Jackson, what are you doing?" and this was the response I received...gummy smiles....it doesn't get much better than this!! So, this week has been a HUGE week of firsts for Jackson: he belly laughed for the first time, rolled over, and he's finally discovered his thumb. He found it much earlier, but where the thumb went, so did all the other fingers, so now the thumb is working alone and he sucks so hard and loud on it, I'm pretty sure it's going to shrivel up and disappear!

Jackson finally fits into one of his baseball hats and he just looked too cute, so of course I had to take a picture. He was quite the attention getter this day. We had several errands to run, grocery, bank, oil change, etc. and he drew attention everywhere we went!

Hello Daddy, I miss you

"Wow, look at 'em, and they move and everything...how come I never noticed these big things before?"
Josh gave Jackson a driving lesson before he left on deployment. Jackson thought he was pretty big stuff!
"Hi Daddy, I miss you so much, I miss you playing guitar to me most of all, mommy isn't as musical as you, but she sings to me, so that's better than nothin', I guess. I love you and can't wait for you to come home so we can play. I'm being a very good boy for mommy. Everyone says that every day I look more and more like you, that makes me happy. I promise to try and stay small till you come home. Hugs and drooly, wet kisses....love Jackson Now that Jackson has started smiling, he never stops....unless he's hungry of course!

February trip to Indiana

Jackson and Chase showing affection now while they're little, but I'm sure these cousins will be playing much rougher as they get older!
It was chilly willy while we were in Indiana, so Jackson had to break out his puppy dog house slippers from Uncle Joe and Auntie Chris.
We were prepared for the weather with hats and sweaters, this is one of my favorite little sets and of course he had to wear it since he doesn't get much use out of these kinds of clothes in Florida.
Nana giving Jackson a bath...he's always extra clean when she's around, as she loves getting in on bathtime...just wait till he's big enough for the bath toys, then the real fun begins!
