Christmas 2005/Jackson's first visit to Indiana

Uncle Joe and Aunt Christy with Jackson sporting part of his Christmas gift from them, a bib that reads: My Uncle Joe and Aunt Chris Love Me. We were so excited that they were able to make the trip home from Louisiana to share Jackson's first Christmas with us.

University of Louisville's two biggest fans!! On January 2nd we were fortunate to attend the Gator Bowl here in Jacksonville, Florida featuring Josh's Cardinals. Unfortunately when it came down to the last few moments of the game we were not able to hold on to our lead and we lost the game, but it was still a fun day for all. And Jackson was a huge hit at the game sporting his U of L jersey that his mommy found for him so he could be just like his daddy. We were approached by several grown men that wanted to congratulate Josh on a job well done for starting to influence his son so early in life to be a Cardinals fan. Oh dear! Jackson enjoyed the entire game sitting on his daddy's lap just watching, he never fussed once. What a good baby!

On January 11th we had Jackson's pictures made at Portrait Innovations, he was exactly 6 weeks old that day. We weren't expecting to much from the little guy, but he astonished us all and was quite fond of the camera. This was our absolute favorite picture and we had it made into a black and white portrait for the house. I know I'm partial but isn't he just the cutest thing you've ever seen!!

As most of you know, February 4th Josh leaves for Maine. The squadron he will be joining in Brunswick is currently on deployment in Italy, he will complete SERE (survival school) and then catch up with his squadron and will return with them the first week of June.
In light of all this, on Saturday, January 28th Josh and I shared our last "date night" together in St. Augustine. We had a romantic dinner at La Pentola, an adorable restaurant with a garden dining area covered with white lights and candlelight all around, it looks like many of the restaurants in Europe, we walked the cobblestone streets lined with quaint shops and went to the Gypsy Comedy Club. We truly enjoyed the evening out. Thanks to Auntie Amy for babysitting Jackson for us. It will be a wonderful memory for us both until Josh returns home and we can do it again.

Hello everyone! We want to thank you for taking the time to visit our new blog. We hope that this will be an easier way for everyone to stay up-to-date on what is going on with us hundreds of miles away. Especially with having Jackson now, this will make it much easier to show you recent pictures and let you know how he is growing and developing without having to make several copies of pictures then mail them to everyone...not that I minded doing that in the past, but this will be a time and stamp saver! Since we are new to this, be patient, it make take some time to figure certain things out, but keep checking back to see what's new. Wishing everyone great things for 2006!
