Christmas in Maine 2006

Jackson in his new pjs he got Christmas Eve from Mommy and Daddy.
Jackson's favorite present...his Radio Flyer Wagon, he couldn't wait to take it outside, so we let him try it out in the house.
Our Christmas card photo...this is actually in our backyard.
Our very first Christmas in our own home, we have always been in one of our parents houses Christmas morning. Now that we have Jackson, this was really special this year having our own family Christmas. As you can see we were very blessed this year...of course Jackson was blessed the most!!!!
Our new family tradition of taking a Christmas morning family photo in our pjs. We had so much fun doing this. Josh set the timer on the camera on the tripod and kept running over to the couch to try and get in the picture and Jackson got the biggest kick out of it....lots of laughs!

Josh and Ashley
Thanksgiving Weekend 2006

Spaghetti O's and Snow...

"I can make a mess and nobody seems to care!!!!"
Our first snow in Maine, so of course I had to take a picture, even though it wasn't hardly anything.
We are trying to teach Jackson to use a spoon, so far, it's not going so well, but it will come....eventually!
One Sunday afternoon we took a drive to the coast...it only took a few minutes....and we took a few pictures, this one is my favorite from that day.
Mmmmmmm, spaghetti O beard!

Happy 1st Birthday Jackson

I cannot take credit for the awesome decorating on this cake, only the cake itself...Jackson's very talented Daddy designed this just for him....pretty awesome if you ask me, it totally went with our puppy dog party!
Decorations!
Daddy, Mommy and a very happy Birthday Boy! It was a very special and memorable day for all of us to share.
I asked Josh to help me make a doghouse out of a moving box, I figured he'd just shape it up for me, maybe throw some paint on it so it wasn't brown....this is what I got in return....it has shingles and everything! I think it looks like Snoopy's house! All the kids had a blast running in and out of it, it has a door on each end so the kids wouldn't get scared.

Puppies Puppies Everywhere

Katherine's mommy, Emily is reading a story about puppies to some very curious little puppies themselves.

Some of the kids at the table enjoying their lunch

Our little birthday puppy enjoying his kibble and bone sandwich

It's a Puppy Party

Rebecca and Ella enjoying their bone peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, doggie kibble and their juice in their bone shaped cups. The kids were given the choice of being a black or brown dog. They were then fitted with felt & foam ears and given a dot of facepaint on their noses...most of them ended up wiping it off.

Mommy and Jackson at the Puppy Party
Avery exclaimed "This is the best puppy party I've ever been to!" Not sure if she knows it's the only one she has been to! Avery lives next door to us and Jackson just adores her. She comes over and plays with him on his swingset.
Ava loved her puppy ears....Sarah has even told me she is still wearing them around the house!

Happy Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving feast
My boys enjoying their deviled eggs
Over the Thanksgiving holiday Jackson's friend Salem came to town and they were able to play. These two have known each other since they were born....there is a picture of the two of them in a post from several months ago when they were only a couple of months old. Salem lives in Atlanta now with her mommy and daddy...we miss you Salem!
This was the first time in five years that Josh and I have been on our own for Thanksgiving, so we decided to do it up and do it well....as you can see we had enough food to have Thanksgiving for several days.
We enjoyed turkey, green bean casserole, potato supreme, stuffing, rolls, jellied cranberry sauce, a relish tray, homemade apple pie (this was from the apples we picked earlier in the year at the orchard) and a chocolate pumpkin cheesecake that was to die for! We had a great time making it and an even better time enjoying it together!

Around the house and other places

Jackson loves to help vacuum, he used to be afraid of it and cry when we used it, now he loves it...go figure. So we just turn it on and let him go....child labor!!
Our squadron has playgroup once a week, as you can see we are in need of some girls in the group....of course Jackson loves it though, he's the youngest of the group that comes, but he follows the other boys around as he screeches in excitement the whole time we are there.
He loves his John Deere tractor puzzle....he's following in his Great Grandpa Dick's footsteps...no complaints here!
Alex and Jackson having a blast in our pile of leaves in the front yard.
Our neighbor, Sarah, brought this costume over for Jackson to use. Alex used it last year and could no longer fit it. So of course we had to try it on and let him run around the house, he loved it...and I know I am partial, but isn't he the cutest bear you've ever seen!!!

Odds & Ends

Josh and I tailgating with the squadron folk and the XO's house.
Jackson and Ava at their window
Tailgating it up with the gals!
This was actually our squadron's service auction that we held to raise money for local charities, but it had a tailgate theme...we raised over $3000.00! Way to go VP-26 Tridents!

Picking out mums for our porch

Jackson was able to play with his friend Tyler when we went to Indiana.
Boys and their toys!
Happy 25th Birthday to me!

Huber's

This little piggy went to market....this little piggy stayed home....
Mmmmmm....ice cream
It was a big day for this little guy.....he's pretty exhausted!
Jackson thought he would be able to do the corn maze....actually he is looking for Uncle Jeremy who ran in here and is hiding behind the corn stalks.
Whooo Hoooooh!

Indiana November 2006

Grandma and Uncle Jeremy took us to Huber's to visit the animals.
We even got to feed them! It tickled!!
We were able to go to one of cousin Chandler's football games....Jackson is giving him a pep talk.
Getting comfy on the sidelines.
At Huber's we got to see the cutest horse and cow ever!!
